Cleaning service by nature is health and safety sensitive and so it is no surprise that cleaning companies project regulations and standards on Health and Safety. At Cleangood, Health and safety is not merely a policy statement worthy of note but a PRIORITY.

Our obligation primarily is to educate our employees on the necessity of safety for them to apply the same sense of safety in the execution of their duties.

Building policies that highlight safety is one thing and compliance of those policies is another, and from experience the latter is seemingly the hardest. However, if employees understand the value and impact of Health and Safety on their duties, the safety culture adopted by the company is easily imbibed

Therefore as part of our safety culture, we practice the following:

  • Developing comprehensive and in-depth policies
  • Deep scrubbing
  • Periodic safety assessment for continuous improvement
  • Making certain that the chemicals used in our operations are environment safe and compliant with health and safety standards
  • Integrating HSE training in employees training matrix
  • Employee inclusion and participation in developing and/or updating Safety procedures
  • Encouraging incident reports on-site and off-site
  • Routine emergency response drills

Health and Safety is at the very core of operation and an object of our commitment. It is our aim to build a safety culture within our outfit and ensure optimum compliance to improve our business performance and protect the wellbeing of both our employees and clients

Covid - 19 Safety Measures

At the start of the pandemic, the utmost priority of every business or home owner was a clean, safe and sanitary space. The challenge sat with re-assuring and assuring existing and new clients respectively, that by opening their doors to us we will meet their cleaning/sanitization needs and not increase their risk of infection all the while ensuring the safety of our staff

To achieve this the following measures were instituted:

Building policies that highlight safety is one thing and compliance of those policies is another, and from experience the latter is seemingly the hardest. However, if employees understand the value and impact of Health and Safety on their duties, the safety culture adopted by the company is easily imbibed

Therefore as part of our safety culture, we practice the following:

  • Routine health checks of our employees
  • Ensuring our staff are clad in appropriate PPE
  • Compulsory quarantine of employees who themselves have contracted the virus or have been exposed to an infected person
  • Respecting the general covid protocols as well as those adopted by our clients

Our employees are trained to not underestimate the cost of safety knowing that the statement “prevention is better than cure” in relation to HSE couldn’t be truer. By employing the right tools, techniques and training, we pride ourselves in the effort we have and are still putting into preventing infection and reducing the spread of the virus through our service delivery
